But why are the top dates separated from the bottom dates? And what does * mean?
Well...given the absolute clusterquack that this year has been schedule-wise, maybe this won't come as a surprise: I'll be in Europe during these * dates with The Aristocrats, so unfortunately I won't be playing these Dethklok shows. Yes, there was an irresolvable conflict and that's how it went down. Yes, it's a bummer that I'll miss the Northeast. But, the good news is that the always-excellent bassist Pete Griffin (formerly of Zappa Plays Zappa) will be filling in for me on those * shows. And I'm very grateful that Brendon and the Dethklok crew are making it possible for me to do this tour at all.
If you want some comedy, just know that I'll be flying from Athens, Greece to Fargo, North Dakota on 11/11 to join the tour already in progress. Like I said, it's been a long, strange year of scheduling.
Tickets will be on sale very soon at those big tickety places that sell tickets to shows like this.
So no Bryan for the first 11 dates. Bugger.
